SS David & Cyfelach, Llangyfelach - Gardens of Remembrance
There are 3 Gardens of Remembrance at SS David & Cyfelach, Llangyfelach where your loved one’s earthly remains (ashes) may be buried. Garden 1 is outside the entrance to the church and is the oldest garden. We no longer intern ashes into this garden unless another loved one has been interned previously. Garden 2 is directly behind the Tower and Garden 3 is at the entrance to the site.
The burial of ashes is conducted as part of a small and poignant service of prayers and readings which our vicar will conduct at a time of the week convenient for the family. The family may also wish to have a memorial with their loved ones name inscribed in it. These are not permitted on the walls of the remembrance gardens. We have a patio area next to the Tower where these memorials can be placed. All memorials require a permission document to be completed. Memorial plaques should not be screwed into the walls of the Remembrance Gardens.
To arrange for a burial of ashes and stone inscription contact our Ministry Area Administrator by email afontawemaa@cinw.org.uk
The right of burial of cremated remains in the Garden of Remembrance is open to all residents of the ministry area.
