Welcome to the Afon Tawe Ministry Area Website

Very simply, a Ministry Area is a gathering of churches which provides the opportunity to streamline administration and expand the ability for mission to take place. By working together in a collaborative way, churches and their people can share knowledge, skills, resources and talent to the glory of God. The Afon Tawe Ministry Area consists of five Churches from separate areas of Swansea comprising :-

St David's Church (Morriston)
Ss David and Cyfelach (commonly referred to as Llangyfelach Church, Llangyfelach)
St Samlets Church (Llansamlet) of which the following form part of the St Samlets group of churches

St Pauls Church (Glais)
St Johns Church (Birchgrove)

Important:- Notice is hereby given that, in accordance with the Constitution of The Church in Wales, all those who are registered on the Afon Tawe Ministry Area Electoral Roll are invited to participate in the Annual Vestry Meeting which will be held on Sunday 26th April 2026
at 5pm in St David’s Church, Morriston. Please click this link to view/download the Annual Vestry Meeting notice for full/additional information.

A reminder that the Annual Congregational Meeting will be held after the Palm Sunday Service at Llangyfelach Church Sunday 29th March 2026. All those on the electoral role at Llangyfelach Church are encouraged to participate in this meeting.
